The leak detection solution is applied (poured) on the joints of a gas installation to detect unsafe seals in the component-to-component connections (shut-off valve to adapter to gas connector, and gas connector to adapter to appliance regulator). Bubbles in the solution will indicate a leak. The pipe thread sealant is preferred over gas PTFE tape because of its fluidity - it seals up the crevices of the Male to Female thread engagement and provides a better seal. The leak detection solution does not contain soap or detergents, eliminating a false reading.

Fluorescent green gas leak detection solution thick formula produces well-defined bubbles to clearly indicate a leak

Gas leak detection solution is water soluble, non-toxic and non-corrosive to metals, plastic or rubber

Do not use pipe thread sealant on flare or compression threads

Bubbles in the solution will indicate a leak

The leak detection solution does not contain soap or detergents, eliminating a false reading

Use with natural, manufactured and LP (propane) gas as well as refrigerants and oxygen

Includes (3 mil) pipe thread sealant & (3mil) leak test solution

The pipe thread sealant is preferred over gas PTFE tape because of its fluidity - it seals up the crevices of the Male to Female thread engagement and provides a better seal.

WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
