This 29-inch long, 5/8-inch OD aluminum anode rod with 3/4-inch NPT connection protects your water heater tank from corrosion by sacrificially corroding itself in place of the tank. Compatible with electric and gas water heaters, it can be cut to fit shorter tanks. Replace the anode rod annually and flush the tank to maximize water heater life.
