Product Overview

The SharkBite® PEX Barb Coupling is made of a lead-free DZR brass, and is an easy to install, low-cost solution to connect to PEX tubing. Compatible for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. These fittings can be used in both a stainless steel clamp system, or a copper crimp ring system as well (each sold separately).

  • Made of a lead-free DZR brass
  • Easy to install
  • For connecting 2 pieces of 1/2" cross link polyethylene pex tubing
  • Immediately testable to well over 100 PSI
  • Compatible for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications
  • Meets the new NSF/ANSI standard 14-2009 & ASTM F 1807-9SI standard for products intended for the transport of potable water
  • These fittings can be used in both a stainless steel clamp system, or a copper crimp ring system as well (each sold separately).
